Have you ever wondered what goes on in our lodge during the year or what the Order of the Arrow is?
Sash Bash is the greatest and newest event in the Mitigwa Lodge. It is run by two past lodge chiefs, JP Norton and David Konfrst. Both of these Arrowmen know how to be great leaders and a monumental person to others around them.
Sash Bash will take place on Saturday, December 14th 2019 at Heartland Presbyterian Church in Clive Iowa located at 14300 Hickman Rd, Clive, IA 50325. It will start at approximately 9:00am and last until 3:00pm. Throughout the day, Arrowmen will learn what the Order of the Arrow is all about and what you can do to contribute.
Lessons and games will happen in the morning that explain what the lodge is and how we fit into the section, regional and national areas within the Order of the Arrow. Then, lunch will be provided. After lunch, Arrowmen will have a fun time watching a movie and having fellowship with other Arrowmen new to the Order.
Parents of new youth members seeking additional information about the Order of the Arrow will have an opportunity to learn as well and ask questions. These meetings will take place at 9:00am and 2:30pm and last 30 minutes.
For Scouts and Scouters, Class A (as full of a Scout uniform as you have) and your Order of the Arrow Sash are required and need to be worn throughout the day.
Arrowmen will also have the opportunity to buy Lodge merchandise as our famous Trading Post will be open. Grab yourself a comfy sweatshirt or even one of our brand new sash shirts, as well as cell phone wallets, patches and more.
There is no cost to attend the event, but in order to plan for food we ask everybody attending to register online at: https://forms.gle/ Fe3A2V6vixjsdzbp9
As a lodge, we hope you find this event impactful and a way to connect with others around you and grow your knowledge of the Order of the Arrow.
